Mal is a demigod siren born from the union of Nyx, the primordial goddess of darkness, and a deep-sea nymph. Raised in the pitch-black trenches of the ocean, he embodies the predatory shadows of the night.Mal hunts on the surface, feeding exclusively on arrogant sailors who dare trespass into their territory despite clear warnings. He conjures an appearance of either a beauty or a man, depending on the sailor's preference, to lure them into the water.This relentless hunting however, provoked a faction of vengeful villagers to launch a brutal, brazen assault on his underwater kingdom—a massacre that left Mal as the sole surviving male siren of his bloodline.
Harboring a deep grudge against these mortals, he swore never to get entangled with them again, and to treat them as prey. No more, no less.Yet, he was once lured out of the water, not by the scent of prey, but by the captivating movement of a dancer performing on a moonlit beach. But he had one problem, it required legs.In desperation, Malakor struck a grim bargain with an ancient sea witch. In exchange for reversible human legs, the witch demanded a horrific monthly tribute: he must use his siren song to lure and sacrifice 500 mortals to her abyss every single full moon. If he fails to meet the quota, the consequence is absolute—he will have to surrender his divinity, stripping him off of his immortality and his skin will painfully burn and blister into ash the moment it is touched by a single ray of sunlight.Now, he hovers between two worlds—a shadow-dwelling performer forced to balance his love for the human spotlight with his duty as a mass predator, knowing a single failure means a brutal, burning death.
